The Kaweco DIY Sport is an interactive, in-store experience where customers assemble their own limited-edition Kaweco Sport fountain pen using seven individual components and a special pen press. Participants use a specialized hand press in the shop to set the inner cap, attach hardware elements, choose their preferred nib size (ranging from Extra Fine to Double Broad), and fit the components together before taking home their custom pen with a royal blue ink cartridge.
The 2026 color of the year is Glow in the Dark (a translucent green that charges under natural or UV light). The DIY Sport cannot be purchased pre-assembled or ordered online; it is available exclusively through participating brick-and-mortar stationery retailers during special hosted events.
From Kaweco: In 1911 something remarkable by the name of Kaweco Sport was created. A pocket-sized fountain pen which could be carried everywhere. It only measures 10.5 cm when closed, but it grows to a standard-sized pen when the cap is reattached on top of the barrel. Back then, the pen was advertised to the well-dressed society, and sportsmen were targeted, hence the name Sport.
Payment will be due upon your arrival to assemble your pen during the event timeframe. If you plan to make more than one pen or nib size, please make sure to "order" accordingly.
