Belle's Book Club
led by Michelle Grajeda
Saturday, January 17, from 3pm to 5pm

There are few things in life more important than friendship and art, and our January Belle’s Book Club will explore the powerful alchemy at their convergence in "My Friends". The Swedish author Fredrik Backman, best known for A Man Called Ove, reminds us in his latest novel that “The world is full of miracles. But none greater than how far a young person can be carried by someone else’s belief in them.” Let’s start the new year by exploring the transcendent nature of art and the persistent nature of hope where they are most vital: in the grim reality of growing up.

Upon registration, participants will receive a set of guided reading questions with a suggested reading schedule and recommended resources. On the day of book club, they will receive a swag bag full of goodies apt for the theme of the book and book lovers alike. For novel purchases, may we suggest ordering from Nowhere Bookshop or visiting your local Barnes & Noble!

Workshop Includes:

  • Book club swag
  • Reading Guide
  • Materials for activities
