Belle & Union is growing! We are looking for a part time Smile Maker & Brand Associate to join our team immediately.

About the position:
Smile Maker & Brand Associate
The front of house face, utility player, the jack of all trades, warm and inviting, providing assistance without being pushy. You believe service is everything, and strive to always have an attitude of unreasonable hospitality in every interaction. You are a fount of knowledgeable information when it comes to our products and their availability, and an always positive and friendly helping hand to our customers. When the shop is quiet, assist in the studio with product packaging from sleeving freshly printed greeting cards to lining envelopes for wedding suites, and everything in between.
Traits: Social butterfly, cool under pressure, positive, patient, excellent memory and people skills, able to multitask efficiently and with care, extreme attention to detail, thrives on a team but can work independently, always timely, and receives feedback openly.
Tasks: Greet and assist customers, recognize regulars while pointing them to new stock, knowledgeable on core and rotating inventory, beautifully wrap customer gifts, restock inventory, maintain cleanliness of the shop, package inventory or assist on wedding assembly and production as needed.
Time: 12 – 18 hours per week (with room to grow!); Saturdays required
Please note that weekend and holiday availability is a requirement for employment at Belle & Union. We do our best to accommodate requests, but please note that the holiday season is our busiest of the year, and when we need you most.

Are you our unicorn?
- Prior retail experience preferred.
- Love of all things paper.
- Knows the difference between stationary and stationery.
- Well-spoken extrovert who can think outside the box and on their feet.
- Excels in both group projects and individually.
- Detail-oriented while always keeping an eye on the big picture.
- Available on Saturdays. (Shop is closed Sundays, guaranteed off!)
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must love dogs.
