When a New York Times critic calls author Marie Semple an "agent of chaos" whose writing is "sparkling" and "dopamine releasing," who are we to resist? Join us for Semple's latest work, a novel that addresses some of today's most troubling societal ills, but centers its energy on an art caper; a great deal of old (and new) money; and, yes, an unexpected romance. At the helm of the chaos is a stoic philosopher cultivating her NYC coven while raising a teenage daughter.

All who are 18 or older may join us in a lively discussion of Go Gentle and its many diversions. Shortly after registration, participants will receive a set of guided reading questions with a suggested reading schedule and recommended resources. On the day of book club, they will receive special stationery goodies apt for book lovers. For novel purchases, may we suggest Nowhere Bookshop or your local Barnes & Noble.

Each event or workshop is hosted in the Belle & Union San Antonio shop and studio, unless otherwise noted. Space is limited, and seats are sold on a first come, first served basis. Recommended for ages 16 and up. All sales are final and non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel the event if a minimum number of seats is not sold.
